Mystic Vines is proud to present Totally Normal Talkshow!
Fresh off a 12 sucessfull shows at IO we've lured TNT to come join us out in Villa Park
What originally started as a plot to interview Carol Baskin and
make OJ Simpson references, has turned into a one-of-a-kind stage
performance. This improvised talk show will have you laughing through
the late night.
For this show, members of the audience will be selected and
treated as guests on a parody late night show. The Totally Normal Talk
Show will have the whole crowd involved and anyone can have the
chance to be a part of the fun.
The actors are a host and the co-host who will be running the
performance. The format will be similar to the format of your
standard talk show. The show will start with a monologue that will
lean heavily into crowd work and then the host will bring audience
members up on stage and the actors will play improv games with
them that have been developed out the course of this performance.
Provided below is a timeline that we use during our
performance which provided a general outline of the show.
We also create colorful question cards in a similar fashion to
what late night hosts use for interviews. We give these cards away
to anyone who is interviewed as a memento of their time on the
show and to further create a tangible bond between the show and
audience members.
